My new catchprase?

Next month I'm heading down to CEF headquarters in Warrenton, Missouri, to start some support-raising training!

But before I can do that, I need a new catchphrase uh, vision statement, in 20 words or less.

I came up with some rough drafts:

  • to minister to teenagers in the Western Wisconsin area by making bad puns and buying them fair food (18 words)
  • to ruin summer missionaries' fun when they try to pull pranks on each other -- or me (16 words)
  • to drive missionaries to lots of events and usually get lost on the way (14 words)
  • to require teenage missionaries to put their trust in God and not in my driving (15 words)

If my summer missionaries (or their parents) came up with my new catchphrase vision statement, they'd probably come up with something like that. I wonder if I'm entirely clear when I share my vision for my time spent in CEF of Western Wisconsin. It's got a lot to do with teenagers, driving, and fair food, sure; but I'm pretty sure that's not what God had in mind when he got me this job.

What would be his idea of my work?
  • to prepare teenagers for summer ministry and other missions work, reaching children for Christ (14 words)
  • to help teenagers engage in ministry throughout the year, and to support and disciple them in God's Word (18 words)
  • to train teenagers to share the Gospel, and giving them opportunities to share with kids (15 words)
I think I like the second one best, as it encompasses the discipleship and continued service involved with Christian Youth in Action. This whole preparation-for-support-raising assignment has given me clarity on several things!
